2019 Week 6 vs. Seattle Seahawks

This was one of the most exciting games of the 2019 season for Cleveland, although it ended in a tough loss. Garrett showed out against one of the best and most elusive quarterbacks in the NFL, Russell Wilson.

The Browns came out on a mission as they got some big plays from Nick Chubb and Baker Mayfield. The offense was doing their part, so it was time for the defense to step up and that’s exactly what Garrett did in the second quarter.

Wilson was looking for his first option, who wasn’t open, so he had to pull the ball down, giving Garrett enough time to beat the blocker and get the sack. He continued to get pressure the rest of the first half, but Wilson is like a magician, one second he’s in front of you, the next he’s not.

Garrett was destroying Seahawks left tackle George Fant, who signed a big contract this offseason and Garrett beat him like a drum. The Browns should have left him on Fant the whole game, but they moved him around instead.

This game showed Garrett’s improvement against the run, as he had five tackles and Seattle was running away from him a lot, which wasn’t the case earlier in his career.

He did get another sack in the second half, similar to the first time Wilson couldn’t find an open receiver and before he could get out of the pocket.

Garrett was getting pressure in the fourth quarter, but Wilson started to dissect the secondary and Cleveland a committed a couple of questionable penalties as Seattle took the lead.

Garrett has only been apart of six victories in his career so far, which doesn’t match his level of production, but that’s why they call football the ultimate team sport.
