2018 Week 4 vs. Oakland Raiders

This wasn’t a huge game sacks-wise for Garrett, but this was a huge game in terms of tackling and effort, which was a big question about him. He only had 0.5 sacks, but he recorded a career-high nine tackles as the Browns lost in overtime.

If you turn on the tape of this game, you will see No. 95 around the ball all the time, which is necessary when playing against Marshawn Lynch.

Garrett really came alive in the second half, showing effort that some people didn’t think he had. Lynch broke a run in the third quarter and Garrett chased him down, tackling him 15 yards down the field.

In the fourth quarter, Derek Carr dropped back to pass and held the ball for half a second too long, giving Garrett enough time to beat his blocker and bring Carr down. The rest of the quarter was a nightmare for the defense as they couldn’t stop the Raiders passing attack, allowing Oakland to tie the game.

Garrett was getting pressure in overtime, but he couldn’t get to the quarterback because there was always an open receiver. Both teams got the ball in overtime without scoring, so a field goal would win the game.

That’s exactly what the Raiders did as they passed the ball all the way down the field and kicked it through the uprights for the victory, causing another amazing performance by Garrett ends in defeat.
