2018 Week 1 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
This was an easy choice for a couple of reasons, obviously he dominated the game, but it was against the arch-rival Steelers. He also made some plays that kept the Browns in the game.
Garrett was ready to start his sophomore year with a bang and he did by getting pressure. However, he didn’t get a sack until the second quarter. He cleared the hands of the offensive line and took a straight line to the quarterback and ended the drive.
He continued to show his improvement against the run as the Steelers played the smash mouth brand of football they are known for.
The Browns were trailing 21-7 in the fourth when Garrett hit James Conner in the backfield, forcing a fumble and Jabrill Peppers returned it inside the five-yard line, leading to a touchdown.
Then on the very next drive they sent a pulling guard to block him and Garrett flew past him, forcing another fumble that Cleveland recovered and ran deep into Steelers territory.
Cleveland sent the game to overtime, but neither team could make a field goal and the game ended in a tie. But there is no tie without Garrett making those huge plays in the fourth quarter. This is the best example of the impact he can have on a game, he has the ability to turn the whole game around in a few plays.
