On day three of the NFL Draft, teams look to fill out their roster with players that will add depth and could be rotational pieces. The Cleveland Browns do just that by taking a talented defensive tackle out of North Carolina State in Larrell Murchison.

Murchison transferred to North Carolina State after spending time in junior college right out of high school. Although he only played two seasons, he was still extremely impressive and showed why he is deserving of being in the NFL.

Murchison is a pretty quick athlete for the position he plays and can use that quickness to sneak his way into the backfield and cause havoc. While he doesn’t have much power in his legs, he’s able to use his upper body strength to get free in one-on-one situations.

Murchison never gives up on a play. He is always fighting, even when he’s being double-teamed or after he’s been knocked to the ground. That is something you want from someone on your defensive line, and that kind of mentality will get everyone else around him excited and willing to do the same thing.

Murchison doesn’t have to come into Cleveland and make a huge contribution right away. With Larry Ogunjobi and Sheldon Richardson already the starters at defensive tackle, he can come in and be a part of a rotation to help alleviate some pressure off of their shoulders.
