124. . Running Back. Kansas City Chiefs. D’Andre Swift. 32. player

What could the defending Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs need to add to their already dynamic roster to improve? While the Chiefs are infamous for struggling on defense, that will have to wait one additional round, as they will continue to stack talent behind Patrick Mahomes on the offensive side of the ball.

Teams have been extremely hesitant to draft running backs in the first round, and to this point, none have been taken in 2020. With J.K. Dobbins, Johnathon Taylor, and D’Andre Swift all being great options, look for the Chiefs to go with the Georgia product Swift to help fill a void at running back.  Damien Williams was great when on the field last season, but injuries are a huge concern as well as not being under contract after the 2020 season.  Swift is an effective zone runner and can be an above-average pass-catcher out of the backfield which will be a perfect fit in Kansas City.

With a virtual draft, it remains to be seen if trades will be as frequent as years past.  Many general managers have come out and said they see no hiccups from the virtual format, but it’s hard to believe there won’t be some limitations compared to years past.

Next. Draft Browns should have, but probably won't. dark

While trades will be limited because of the depth in talent this year, especially at positions like offensive tackle and wide receiver, there will still be a few teams on the move.
