. Quarterback. Miami Dolphins. Tua Tagovailoa. 5. player. 59

After an aggressive offseason, the Miami Dolphins will likely be looking for their future quarterback in the 2020 draft. The Dolphins have been linked to both Tua Tagovailoa and Herbert previously, but now it appears the Chargers will make their draft pick for them after swapping with the Detroit Lions. Miami could be the biggest winner of the Chargers taking Herbert and leaving Tagovailoa for them, as there appears to be far more talent, but with an injury concern.

Head coach Brian Flores looks to have the team headed in the right direction if he can find a starting-caliber quarterback in 2020. Ryan Fitzpatrick will win you a few games per year but has never been a consistent starter in the NFL. Josh Rosen who was originally the tenth pick in 2018 didn’t perform well either in 2019 after being traded to the Dolphins so the Arizona Cardinals could draft Kyler Murray last year.

The experts have started to lean Herbert over Tagovailoa, but the Dolphins get a steal at pick no. 5 landing the Alabama quarterback without having to trade up. With an updated roster, a healthy Tagovailoa could be in for a huge rookie year in Miami.

Cornerback. Detroit Lions. Jeff Okudah. 6. player. 50.

TRADE – Detroit Lions from Los Angeles Chargers

The Detroit Lions could win the draft on Thursday night with this move. Not only would they get a shutdown cornerback in Jeff Okudah, but they would also likely collect an additional second-round pick (possibly more) from the Chargers to move up to no. 3.

Truthfully, after the departure of Darius Slay this offseason, Okudah is the best fit and would have been the Lions pick if they stayed at pick No. 3. An aging Mathew Stafford and knowing how badly the Dolphins and Chargers need a quarterback will be the perfect recipe for a Lions win on draft night.

The Ohio State standout will be a week one starter and could allow Lions fans to quickly forget about the Slay departure.
