2020 Round-1 mock draft 2.0, Cleveland Browns land franchise player
By Greg Newland

. Defensive Line. Carolina Panthers. Derrick Brown. 7. player. 87
The Carolina Panthers will be under a new regime in 2020, and that includes moving on from long time star quarterback Cam Newton. The show must go on with new quarterback Teddy Bridgewater who shined in New Orleans with injuries to Drew Breese.
Look for the Panthers to bolster their front line with the Auburn defensive lineman Derrick Brown. With Chase Young at pick No. 2, any team that picks Brown past number four or five is getting a steal. Brown has shown the ability to stop the run and rush the passer from the interior defensive line.
Other than Aaron Donald, the defensive tackle position has lost some value of importance in the NFL. Teams are focusing or edge rushers or lock-down corners. Panther’s fans won’t be disappointed with this impact player who can do it all from the middle.
. Offensive Tackle. Arizona Cardinals. Tristan Wirfs. 8. player. 32
After the addition of DeAndre Hopkins and keeping Larry Fitzgerald for one more year, second-year quarterback Kyler Murray could shine in the Kliff Kingsbury air raid system in 2020. What better way could the Arizona Cardinals enhance their offense than by adding the best offensive tackle in the draft?
The Cardinals will be shocked to have their pick of tackles at pick No. 8. However, given the value on a quarterback, I see that potential in 2020. Wirfs is seen by many as the highest ceiling tackle but may need a few games to get up to speed. With an athletic quarterback, Wirfs could be the perfect fit for the Cardinals.
Many have projected Mekhi Becton in this slot, but with the latest drug test dilution situation from the combine, Becton could now be the fourth tackle taken vs. first or second.
