No. 1: Baltimore Ravens
It is very painful having to put the Ravens as No. 1 on this list, but they hit the draft class out of the park. Eric Decosta is quickly becoming one of the best general manager’s in all of the NFL, as he has done a tremendous job in re-shaping this roster under head coach John Harbaugh.
First round pick Patrick Queen from LSU fills a major need at linebacker for this Ravens defense. The Ravens also doubled up on the position, selecting Ohio State standout Malik Harrison in the third round, one spot behind Cleveland’s selection of linebacker Jacob Phillips.
Second round pick J.K. Dobbins, another Buckeye, could be one of the best picks in this entire draft class. Dobbins has a chance, especially with the roster around him, to be one of the most explosive backs in the NFL and follow the Nick Chubb path to prominence at the tailback position in this league.
Justin Madubuike, a third round pick from Texas A&M, is an immediate rotational player at defensive tackle for Baltimore. Offensive guards Tyre Phillips out of Mississippi State and Ben Bredeson from Michigan have a chance to start as rookies for this team.
The Ravens also took a flier on highly talented players in receiver James Proche from SMU in the sixth round and Geno Stone, a safety from Iowa in the seventh round.
The Ravens nailed this draft as they too can have four or five potential starters from the draft class.
