Overall Grade for 2017 Class

Sashi Brown and the Cleveland Browns most certainly hit on a few draft picks in this class. Most notably Myles Garrett and Larry Ogunjobi. In addition to that, the Browns had five players start significant time for them from this draft class. Mostly because of wanting to go young, but never the less they did start.

We also saw a lot of players from this class go one season and done with the Browns including Deshone Kizer, Roderick Johnson, Caleb Brantley, and Matthew Dayes. A lot of that had to do with a new general manager being brought in, but one would have to assume that if they could play and contribute, Dorsey would have kept them around.

We also saw one player who never officially suited up for Cleveland in fourth-round pick Howard Wilson.

Based on all the turn over so quickly from this class we have to give the Browns an overall grade of a C- for this class.

Completely missing on so many players has contributed to the overall lack of depth on this roster. Players in the middle rounds don’t have to be home run picks but some of them need to be able to contribute.

And for this draft class, Sashi Brown and Cleveland just missed too many times with all the extra picks they accumulated.
