This game may have big playoff implications, whether that be getting a spot or seed determination.

The changing of the guard in the AFC North is happening in real-time. A poor coaching hire delayed the torch being passed, but this is the year the Browns overthrow the Steelers.

Ben Rothlisberger being out all last season with that elbow injury revealed Pittsburgh’s deficiencies. Since losing two of the three killer b’s, they have struggled in the run game and a number one receiver hasn’t emerged. JuJu Smith-Schuster has proven that he is a good number two and James Conner couldn’t solidify his position as the number one running back.

The Browns just need to stay mindful of the Steelers’ sneaky offensive weapon Diontae Johnson as his speed allows for some creativity in the playbook.

Cleveland’s secondary is young, but they must have assignment discipline and not go for the big play. Rothlisberger is a savvy veteran who will take advantage of youthful mistakes. He’s also good for a few toss-ups so the defense must be prepared for those opportunities.

Chubb and Hunt can have good games against the Steelers’ rush defense. They finished middle of the pack in rushing yards allowed so getting the run game going early and often is the recipe for these games. David Njoku and Hooper will get their fair share of dump-off passes as Pittsburgh’s secondary is tough but not impossible.
