Week 12: Away vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
The Jacksonville Jaguars played uninspired football down the stretch last season, and that could continue into 2020 as head coach Doug Marrone survived the offseason. But by the time Week 12 rolls around, one has to wonder if Marrone will be on his last leg.
Banking on a former sixth round draft choice in Gardner Minshew at quarterback is a risky gamble for this franchise to take in 2020. While he did inspire some confidence, and had a great touchdown to interception ratio at 21 to six, questions still remain on if he can be a legitimate starting quarterback in the NFL.
If Cleveland is on a path toward the playoffs, this Browns team should be inspired to go into this late season matchup and perform well. Also, don’t be surprised if this turns into a home game for the Browns as it should be assumed that Browns Backers from all over will flock to Florida to see their Brownies make a late season playoff run.
It all adds up here for Cleveland. A team in Jacksonville that could be firing its head coach, a young unproven quarterback at the helm for the Jags, and a home field advantage on the road should all make for an easy win for the Cleveland Browns.
