No 3. Mack Wilson

When it comes to linebacker Mack Wilson and what he has to do to “step up”, it is a bit different. Wilson needs to step up in categories all over the board, for many different reasons.

For one, he needs to continue to grow as a leader on the defense. He’s the best linebacker on the Browns roster currently. As discussed all the time, the Browns are very slim at the linebacker position when it comes to proven talent.

Wilson had a phenomenal season last year for a fifth-round rookie. Going for 82 total tackles, one interception, and one sack, Wilson brought a spark to the defense that not a lot of people saw coming from him. Wilson is going to be a key player in the longevity of the Browns success on defense.

While there are a few other guys that can lead when it comes to the Browns defense, it appears Wilson wants it the most. From always working in the offseason to interacting with fans as well as posting about how he wants to be a legend in the city of Cleveland when it comes to football, he is up for the challenge.

After Wilson’s four-year, $2.8 million dollar rookie deal expires, look for the Browns to extend him if he can continue to produce and improve as a young linebacker and lead the Browns defense.
