Nick Chubb

Yes, the Browns have Kareem Hunt on the roster. No, that won’t affect Nick Chubb from having another monster season as the primary back for the Browns. Not only has Chubb proven his dominance over the last two seasons, but he is also a perfect fit for Stefanski who wants to pound the football.

More from Dawg Pound Daily

The third-year running back from Georgia was phenomenal as a rookie with just under 1,000 yards. Chubb began the year as the second back before taking the job from Carlos Hyde by mid-season. In year two, in an offense that was often behind in games and struggled to throw the ball, Chubb ran for 1,498 yards. That mark was second-best in the NFL, and Chubb also added 13 touchdowns.

With an upgraded line in front of him and a better scheme fit, Chubb could be a potential MVP candidate and winner of the rushing title in 2020. There’s no player on the team that will outwork Chubb, and he is set up to become an even bigger leader in the locker room next season, which will be welcomed.

Andy Janovich

Not many teams get excited about a fullback, but after seeing so many short-yardage passing plays last season with one of the top running backs in the NFL, Andy Janovich has a chance to be a Cleveland hero. Janovich’s stats aren’t going to wow you, he has 13 rushes for 51 yards and three touchdowns in four seasons all with the Denver Broncos.

However, Janovich can be a dominant lead blocker and catch a ball here and there when needed. Janovich is a hard worker and as strong as a bull. Don’t expect him to jump off the film at you, but he will play a pivotal role for the Browns in 2020 and Nick Chubb will likely owe him a steak dinner every Tuesday night.
