16. Cleveland Browns
It was hard to find a bigger disappointment in 2019 than the Cleveland Browns. When you have Baker Mayfield, Nick Chubb, Odell Beckham, Jarvis Landry, Myles Garrett, and Denzel Ward all on the same team you should be good.
Of course, we all underestimated how much coaching matters — as well as offensive line play. Once again, we’re stuck here hoping the new coach is the right one and Kevin Stefanski feels legit. He also has a much better offensive line with Jack Conklin and Jedrick Wills joining the team.
However, we can’t buy in fully just yet. Cleveland needs to show us they can get it done before we can believe too much. Having said that, they’re loaded on paper once again.
15. Denver Broncos
There are an awful lot of weapons in Denver and Drew Lock was sharp late in the season. He could be the answer and John Elway is making sure there are no excuses for him. This could be a team to look out for.
14. Arizona Cardinals
Kyler Murray looks to be the real deal but the offensive line in front of him is suspect. Browns fans know that can hurt. Still, they have done well the past couple of drafts and Isaiah Simmons is going to be a star for them. Plus, they added DeAndre Hopkins which gives Murray a true No. 1 receiver.
13. New England Patriots
Yes, Tom Brady is gone but the Patriots still have the best coach in the NFL in Bill Belichick. They also have one of the best defenses in the game which will keep them in just about every game. They might not be Super Bowl favorites but they’ll be in the playoff race this season.
