4. San Francisco 49ers

They were the NFC representatives in the Super Bowl last season and it was frustrating for Browns fans to watch considering their head coach, Kyle Shanahan, was once in Cleveland and they allowed him to get away. Still, they landed Joe Woods from there, so that helps a little.

San Francisco has the making of a team ready to contend for a long time. They’re stacked on both lines of scrimmage and they even added some much-needed help at wide receiver in Brandon Aiyuk and replaced DeForest Buckner with Javon Kinlaw. Not a bad offseason.

3. New Orleans Saints

No team in the NFL can manage the salary cap the way the New Orleans Saints can. One day, they’re $16 million in the hole, the next they sign someone to a $50 million deal and  now have $10 million freed up. Mickey Loomis is a wizard.

On the field, they’re still one of the best teams, if not the best in the NFC. Drew Brees is showing some signs of decline but he still has enough for one more magical run.

2. Baltimore Ravens

Sorry Browns fans but the Baltimore Ravens are legit. Lamar Jackson has yet to win a playoff game for them but he has an MVP and they did incredibly well in the draft. That’s all the praise they get here. Moving on.

1. Kansas City Chiefs

The defending NFL Champions remain atop the mountain until someone can come and push them off. Patrick Mahomes has taken not only his play to another level, but he has raised the bar for quarterbacks all over the NFL.

Kansas City is the team everyone is emulating as they look to build their own roster, which is why they kick this season off at No. 1.
