Cleveland Browns vs. Philadelphia Eagles

All-time record: Browns 31 – Eagles 17, 1 Tie

The Cleveland Browns history with the Philadelphia Eagles was far more extensive (and successful) prior to the team returning in 1999. Prior to Art Modell moving the team in 1995, the Browns had a 31-12-1 record against the Eagles. However, in the expansion era the Browns are 0-5 against the Eagles.

The last time the two teams faced each other was in 2016. In the debut of Carson Wentz, the Eagles spoiled the debut of the Hue Jackson-led Browns, winning by the score of 29-10. In a game in which the Browns had few stars, Isaiah Crowell stood out with 62 yards and a touchdown on just 12 carries.

Cleveland Browns vs. Dallas Cowboys

All-time record: Browns 17 –Cowboys 14

Like the Eagles, the Cleveland Browns have not had success against the Cowboys in the expansion era. The Browns are 0-4 against Dallas since returning to the league. The last time the two teams played was during the 2016 season, which was a 35-10 drubbing by the Cowboys.

One of the more memorable wins by the Browns in the series was in 1994. In the next-to-last game of the regular season, the Bill Belichick-led Browns won a hard-fought 19-14 game in Dallas to clinch the Browns lone playoff appearance in the Belichick era. Michael Jackson (no, not that Michael Jackson) led the Browns in receiving with six catches for 74 yards and one touchdown.

Cleveland Browns vs. New York Giants

All-time record: Browns 27 – Giants 22

Not surprisingly, the Cleveland Browns have a storied history against the New York Giants. Unfortunately like the Browns history with the Eagles and Cowboys, the Browns have not enjoyed much success against the Giants in the expansion era. The Browns are 1-4 against the Giants since returning in 1999.

But the one win was a memorable one for Browns fans. In 2008, the Browns played the Giants on Monday Night Football. For fans that remember, the 2008 Browns had a lot of expectations after their 10-6 finish in 2007. However on this October night, the Browns looked like the playoff team they were expected to be. The Browns beat the Giants 35-14. Derek Anderson threw for 310 yards and two touchdowns. Braylon Edwards led the Browns in receiving with five catches for 154 yards and a touchdown.

Cleveland Browns vs. Washington Redskins

All-time record: Browns 33 – Redskins 12, 1 Tie

Rounding out the NFC East, it’s a similar story with the Cleveland Browns history against the Washington Redskins. The Browns have only played the Redskins four times in the expansion era and are 1-3. The team’s lone win was in 2004 when the Browns triumphed over the Redskins  17-13. Jeff Garcia threw for 195 yards and one touchdown. Lee Suggs ran for 82 yards and a touchdown on 22 carries.
