Landry and Beckham each have 1,200 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns

For many, 74 receptions and 1,035 yards would be considered a great season. However, when your name is Odell Beckham, much more has become expected. A few crucial drops and an abdominal injury-plagued most of Beckhams first season in Cleveland. While Beckham draws a substantial amount of media, he appeared to be nothing but a great teammate.

Jarvis Landry is the other big-name receiver for the Browns who had a career-high in receiving yards last season with 1,174. While the stat line isn’t horrible, many of these catches and yards were in garbage time of games the Browns weren’t really in.

At the end of the day, neither of these guys had a bad year. But with the entire offense performing below expectations, the media was making it seem bad, especially for Beckham. With both players coming back from offseason surgery, look for both to be refresh and fueled to win.

In Stefanski’s offense, you may see targets drop slightly for both guys in 2020, but you will see yards per catch and catch percentage up big time. After a defense has Chubb thrown at them for 7 of 10 plays, a play-action over the top for a big play will happen far more often than in 2019.

In the new offense look for Beckham and Landry to both have more than 75 catches with 1,200 receiving yards. More importantly, look for both to have a bigger role in the red zone. Look for Beckham and Landry to have seven plus touchdowns in 2020 after Beckham had four and Landry six last year.

More wins will equal less negativity from the media next season, both stars will do whatever it takes to make that go away.
