The second goal for Wilson in 2020 would be Wilson having at least three sacks for the Browns. Last season, Wilson had one sack, which wasn’t a boatload, sure, but he did have a solid five quarterback pressures.

It also seems feasible Wilson could be utilized as a blitzer a bunch again next season, with this being for new defensive coordinator Joe Woods. Woods seems likely to utilize five defensive backs often, and with that being the case, Wilson could come fairly frequently with Cleveland having its coverage personnel on the field, anyhow.

Wilson could realistically have in the ball park of his 84 blitz occurrences again this season, and him getting three sacks this go-around would show growth in that regard with his timing/ability to win versus running backs in pass protection.

Now, Phillips could very well be a blitzer fairly often, too, but not nearly as often as Wilson. Wilson again hitting three sacks in 2020, though, would pay dividends for the Cleveland Browns, and demonstrate he’s definitely coming along as an impact player.

Of course, the vast majority of sacks would be coming from Garrett, Vernon, Ogunjobi and seemingly Chad Thomas up front, and so this sack total for Wilson would be notable.
