Wilson’s No. 3 goal: Allowing a completion percentage of 60.0 percent or fewer in primary coverage

Wilson has flashed tons of potential as a coverage linebacker and had an impressive seven passes defensed in 2019. He has shown the capability to defend tight ends on sticks and drags, and could have his share of plays in defending down the seam more in 2020.
That’d involve Sendejo and Delpit over the top, often in three safety packages. That would include Joseph, too, in a role closer to the line of scrimmage, it would seem.
Although looking at the upcoming season for the Cleveland Browns, Wilson needs to be more consistent/assignment-sound in his primary coverage.
Sure, in some instances, he’s going to concede dump-offs, somewhat by design, where he can break down and ideally, make the play.
In his second season, though, with hopefully better pass rush/safety personnel, Wilson having a 60.0 percent or less completion percentage against would be key.
Teams will likely target Cleveland’s linebackers a bunch, sure, but with how Wilson can break on the ball, as indicated by his 2019 passes defensed total, that should lead to more resistance in primary coverage in Year 2 with him more sure of his responsibilities.
