Reserves

Larry Ogunjobi

A third-round pick in 2017 out of Charlotte, Larry Ogunjobi has started 31 games over the past two seasons as a defensive tackle for the Cleveland Browns. Even so, he could be heading into 2020 as a reserve, which as stated above, might not be a bad thing.

Ogunjobi excels as a pass rusher, evidenced by his 11 sacks over the past two seasons. The problem is, he hasn’t put it all together to become a complete defender. According to Pro Football Focus, he ranked 98th out of 118 defensive tackles which put him behind Sheldon Richardson (26) and Andrew Billings (44).

Moving to a rotational role could be exactly what he needs in order to make the most out of his talent.

Jordan Elliott

Cleveland used a third-round pick on Jordan Elliott out of Missouri this year and Elliott could end up becoming a real contributor for them. A transfer from Texas, Elliott has great play strength who really came on strong in his final collegiate campaign.

Adding him and Billings proved that general manager Andrew Berry saw this position as one of the weaknesses on the team and he made sure that wouldn’t be the case in 2020. Even with Elliott’s youth and inexperience, he has the ability to step in and contribute right away. And even if something happened where he needed to start, Cleveland would feel confident in doing so.
