1. Joshua Garnett

A former first-round draft pick, Joshua Garnett has been nothing short of disappointing in the league. As the 28th overall pick in the 2016 draft, Garnett would only ever start a whopping 11 games for the 49ers, as his time in San Francisco was riddled with injuries.

He was recently on the Detroit Lions, but has been released and is now available for the next team to come along and try to revive his career. Garnett, now having been cut by two different teams, is not going to be an expensive pickup. Cleveland Browns offensive line coach Bill Callahan is a wizard at building offensive linemen, and if anyone can revive Garnett’s career, it is him.

Garnett is only 26 and is about three years removed from the knee injury that originally ended his 2017 season. It would not surprise me to see the Cleveland Browns take a shot on the former first-round pick, as they don’t lose really anything if they do. The team needs depth at the guard position, and will likely be trying to save its cap space for future seasons to extend its young stars.

Garnett once had the hype of being a long-term answer at offensive guard, which is more than what a lot of other available guys for cheap can say. There are no young and proven options available out there for the Cleveland Browns to sign at the moment.

They have to choose between old and experienced, and young and inexperienced when choosing their depth.
