No. 3 Baker Mayfield

The first player that the Cleveland Browns will need to have a bounce-back year begins with their quarterback Baker Mayfield.

Baker Mayfield had a very promising end to his rookie season after Tyrod Taylor went down with a concussion and from then on even when he did recover from his injury was never given the opportunity to win his starting spot back.

Mayfield took the league by storm and gave Cleveland Browns fans hope during his rookie campaign that even though as the season came to an end and the playoffs were out of reach, the season finally finished with Browns’ fans having hope for the future. He finished the season playing in 14 games and starting in 13 of them.

He threw for 3,725 yards, 27 touchdowns and only 14 interceptions on a completion percentage of 63.8 percent. After the addition of Odell Beckham Jr. in a trade with the New York Giants, it looked like Mayfield would be one of the best quarterbacks in the league and even was talked about winning MVP. However, he went on to greatly disappoint all Cleveland Browns fans and took a huge step back from the potential that he showed in his rookie season.

Even with the addition of Odell Beckham Jr. and the Browns bringing in a head coach that had a great relationship with Mayfield, and him starting in every game of the season, he finished the season with 3,827 yards, 22 touchdowns, and 21 interceptions on a 59.4 percent completion rate. With Mayfield being the potential face of the franchise for the Browns and him likely wanting a contract extension soon, it is crucial for him to get the money he wants as well for the good of the Browns that he rekindles the spark that shone brightly in his rookie season and lives up to the hype that he has earned.
