Cleveland Browns 3 biggest needs after first live scrimmages

Help at Linebacker:
Truthfully, before the injury to Wilson, this was still the biggest need for the Browns heading into 2020. While the severity of the injury to Wilson is still unclear, this was a clear sign that Berry needs to try and bring in additional talent.
Sione Takitaki, Brandon Phillips, and BJ Goodson can’t be the best three linebackers on the roster heading into 2020. Without Wilson as a field general, this defense could look lost unless they find a solid replacement.
Nigel Bradham was the guy who always made the most sense, but now that he is off the market the list is very thin. Darron Lee (undersized), Wesley Woodyard (old as dirty), and Mark Barron (old and injury-prone) are the likely best options right this second, but the Browns will be hopeful a veteran gets cut before the season starts.
The issue with waiting to sign such an important piece of the defense is there will be no time for him to gel with the squad. Calling plays and getting everyone else lined up won’t be easy so the Browns may have to open the checkbook to get someone who is capable.
Linebacker is a position that is not highly valued by analytical organizations, but if you take Wilson out of the lineup, it’s safe to say the Browns defense will be giving up large chunk runs all season.
With Baker Mayfield still on a rookie contract, this issue needs to be addressed unless news comes out that Wilson is 100% healthy (which seems unlikely) so the Browns have the best chance to win now.
