Stud: Odell Beckham, Jr.

When Odell Beckham, Jr. joined the Cleveland Browns a season ago, expectations were through the roof. He was a force in New York with the Giants and now that he was teaming up with Baker Mayfield — a fantastic deep-ball quarterback — he was supposed to be even better.

Not to mention, he had Jarvis Landry — his old collegiate teammate — as his No. 2 wide receiver. That meant teams wouldn’t be able to zero in on him the way they did in New York. However, things went bad rather quickly.

First was the whole OTA debacle that dominated the headlines in the offseason. Once the regular season began, it was more drama as he was on the wrong side of league rules for a watch, a visor, and some cleats. None of it was a big deal but when added up, it became exhausting and it look the focus away from his play.

Speaking of his play, OBJ was good but not great in 2019 and he felt let down by his performance. He re-dedicated himself this offseason to his craft and had surgery to fix a nagging injury that hampered him throughout his first season in The Land.

So far, it all seems to be working as Beckham has been incredibly quiet during camp. Or at least quiet with his words as he’s letting his play speak volumes.

Beckham has been incredible so far in camp, making circus catches look routine. He’s hauling in everything that’s within his range and that has hopes higher than ever in 2020.
