Aqib Talib

One of the best cornerbacks during the 2010s, Aqib Talib is definitely out of his prime by now. After being bounced around the league recently through trades, from the Broncos to the Rams, and then ending up on the Dolphins, Talib is currently a free agent.

Currently 34-years-old, Talib could want one more season with a good team to try to make one last run at a Super Bowl ring. He doesn’t have much left in the tank, as he has only played in 13 games over the last few seasons, but what he does have is still some quality play.

The Browns aren’t a top contender this year but might be the best spot Talib’s going to get if he wants to try to make a run and play. Talib also has some roots in Cleveland, Ohio, as he was originally born in Cleveland and spent some of his childhood years there.

Considering Talib has already won a Super Bowl, played in five Pro Bowls, and been a first-team All-Pro once, the experience and wisdom he could share with young cornerbacks like Denzel Ward and Greedy Williams would be extremely valuable. If Talib is willing to sign for cheap, I don’t see a reason for the Browns to not take a shot on him.
