Round 7, Pick 215: Changa Hodge, WR, Virginia Tech

Just like the defensive tackle position in this 2021 NFL Mock Draft, the Browns double-dip on their second position. With their last pick in this mock draft, the Browns land a small-school sleeper prospect in wide receiver Changa Hodge.

Formerly with Villanova, Hodge entered the transfer portal in hopes of finding a home in the power-five amid all of the cancellations across college football. Successful in his mission, Hodge has a new home at Virginia Tech as he looks to thrive in his last season of eligibility in the ACC rather than at the FCS level.

A year ago, the 6-foot-1 and 200-pound wide receiver racked up huge numbers at Villanova. On 65 catches, Hodge tallied 1,118 yards and 13 touchdowns through the air. He has been named to the Senior Bowl watchlist as he there are plenty of NFL eyes on him with the 2020 season in the near future.

Rashard Higgins is on just a one year deal, and we have already hit on the financial situation of the wide receiver room. Hodge could likely come in one day-one and fight for a roster spot as the fourth of fifth wide receiver in the room.

There are worse day-three dart throws to make than on Hodge with the 215th overall pick in the draft.
