Cleveland Browns: 5 Bold predictions for Week 1 vs. Ravens

4. Sendejo welcomes himself to the Browns
The Cleveland Browns made some big moves in their secondary this offseason. There was the addition of two former first-round picks in free agency as they signed safety Karl Joseph away from the Las Vegas Raiders and cornerback Kevin Johnson, who was with the Buffalo Bills in 2019. They also added a former second-round pick when they claimed M.J. Stewart off waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Grant Delpit was another huge addition, but the LSU product was lost before his rookie season even began due to a torn Achilles. That led to the Browns exploring a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars, which is where they were able to find Ronnie Harrison for a mere fifth-round pick.
With all the excitement about the big-name additions, it was easy to forget they also picked up former Minnesota Vikings safety Andrew Sendejo. A 10-year veteran, Sendejo brings with him 110 games of NFL experience. He has 416 tackles, nine interceptions, and 21 career pass defenses.
In his debut game, look for him to be the player to stand out in the Cleveland secondary as he gets his hands in a Lamar Jackson pass and records an interception for the Browns. It would be the perfect way for the blue-collar safety to introduce himself to his new team.
