1. Karl Joseph vs Lamar Jackson

I am officially naming myself the king of the Karl Joseph hive in Cleveland. One of my favorite players to watch in college, his unique skill set matches up incredibly well against Lamar Jackson. Lamar Jackson makes his money off of consistently making defenders miss. He’s incredibly agile and shifty, especially for a quarterback.

Jackson has improved greatly as a passer so far in his NFL career. It’s a huge part of why he won the NFL MVP award. He is a good quarterback who can shred defenses with his arm. However, that isn’t the best part of his game. Lamar sets up his passing game by annoying defenses with his legs. Jackson can make great defenders look silly and make some of the best tackles miss every now and then.

In terms of defensive backs, there is not a guy better in the league at tackling than Karl Joseph. With his impeccable form, Joseph delivers big hits and great form tackles consistently. He is great in run defense and will likely be playing close to the box with his eyes on Lamar all game.

Karl Joseph is the king of open-field tackling and Lamar Jackson is probably the shiftiest NFL player in the open field. Whoever wins this matchup will be able to turn the tide for their team in this game. If Joseph is able to keep Jackson from breaking any big runs, then the Browns great coverage cornerbacks will likely be able to shut down Baltimore’s lackluster receivers.

The key to beating the Ravens is still stopping Lamar’s rushing attack, which is why this is the number one matchup. Is it likely the Browns win this matchup? We’ll have to see on Sunday.
