Cincinnati Bengals (0-1) at Cleveland Browns (0-1)

After a terrible Week 1 performance in Baltimore, it’s time to show improvement. Thursday night, the Browns welcome the Bengals and rookie first overall pick, Joe Burrow, into town.

Where do the Browns need improvements from? Just about everywhere. Baker Mayfield needs to show signs of life like I think he will, despite having a very disappointing Week 1. The offense line will look to have another solid game against a much lighter opponent as the Bengals front four isn’t much compared to the Ravens.

As for the defense, Myles Garrett must get involved. He was next to nobody this past Sunday, so hopefully, he can get a sack or two on Thursday night. Andrew Sendejo had a very rough first game as well, so look for him to rebound and lead the secondary to a good game.

The formula for a victory? Run the ball. Feed Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. The Chargers were able to have success on the ground in week one against the Bengals, so the Browns should have no issues.

Lastly, let the Mayfield to Odell Beckham Jr connection come naturally. If the run game gets going early and he gets others involved, there is no reason the game can’t open up for Beckham for a big play or two down the road. The Browns should win this game and if they run the ball and play defense, they shouldn’t have any issues.

Prediction: Cleveland 31, Cincinnati 21
