Game: Washington Football Team (1-1) at Cleveland Browns (1-1)

Summary: What a difference a week makes. The Browns looked rough in Week 1 as the Baltimore Ravens had their way with them but then in Week 2, they looked like a much different team at home against the Bengals. The final score was 35-30 but it really wasn’t that close as the Browns controlled the game throughout.

Their impressive performance on the short turnaround has faith restored in Baker Mayfield and company and it also gave them 10 days to prepare for Ohio State East as the Washington Football Team comes in led by Dwayne Haskins, Terry McLaurin, and Chase Young.

Those three Buckeyes can play and have their team at 1-1 following an impressive win over Philadelphia in Week 1 and a frustrating loss to the Cardinals in Week 2. Despite their loss this weekend though, they shouldn’t be taken lightly.

Fortunately, the Cleveland coaching staff knows this. They also know that Arizona was able to neutralize the Washington pass rush with RPOs and misdirection in the run game. The Browns can use a similar approach with Mayfield leaning heavily on Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt in both the ground game and aerial attack.

Look for them to also have Denzel Ward shadow McLaurin, their only real threat in the passing game. It won’t be a blowout but the Browns should have no problem winning this one and getting to 2-1.

Prediction: Cleveland 27, Washington 17
