Stud: S Karl Joseph

While one safety in Andrew Sendejo was once again a dud for the Browns, his running mate in Karl Joseph showed the city of Cleveland what his true colors are. He is a dawg inside and out, and he proved it on Sunday on multiple occasions.

First, he made a massive hit along the boundary in run support as he slid downhill, winning over the hearts of us all. Then he came away with a massive shift in momentum as he picked off Haskins and flipped field position on a return of nearly 50 yards. This interception led to six points from the Browns’ offense. Joseph finished the game with the second-most tackles on the day for the Browns with six, and defended another pass in addition to his game-changing interception.

As the high-powered Cowboys’ offense comes to town, the Browns will once again rely on him to create turnovers and instill fear into the offense as he did today. The best-case scenario would be that this game against Washington is only Joseph’s coming out party and his best football is ahead of him for the city of Cleveland.

For now, however, this writer dreams of a safety duo of the hard-hitting Joseph with the large and versatile Harrison as the season moves along for the Browns.
