1. Andy Janovich

It’s not surprising that the play of a fullback is going under the radar. Fullbacks are like the scrappy younger brother of the offensive line. They are not flashy and it is generally best if you are not talking about them, because that typically means they are doing their job.

Through three games so far this season, Andy Janovich has been on the field for just less than a quarter (24.7 percent) of the Browns offensive snaps. Up until this point, that seems like just the perfect mix for a team who runs the ball on just over half of their snaps. Janovich has been on the field enough to provide valuable lead blocking for Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, but not enough to be a dead giveaway of the Browns offensive intentions.

In last week’s contest, Janovich caught a swing route off play action and took it up the sideline for a 13-yard gain. It was only the second time Janovich has been targeted in the passing game on the season.

This week in Dallas, the Browns are going to need to use their passing game more in order to keep pace with the Cowboys offense. The trick for head coach Kevin Stefanski will be to pass more while still staying in the structure of the offense. This could lead to a big opportunity for Janovich in the passing game out of heavy sets to keep the Cowboys’ defense on its toes.

While he should not be expected to be in anyone’s fantasy football lineup, don’t be surprised if the Browns use Janovich to move the chains once or twice and maybe — just maybe — find his way into the end zone.
