Game: Cleveland Browns (2-1) and Dallas Cowboys (1-2)

The best reason for picking the Cowboys is that they played a very close game against the Seattle Seahawks and Russell Wilson. That is not easy.
The second best reason for picking the Cowboys is Dak Prescott, who is a great quarterback in every sense of the word. BIg fan of him as a person and as an athlete. He is really smart, really tough and he can sling it.
The most stupid reason for picking the Cowboys is that Jerry Jones is getting up there in age, and they need to win the Super Bowl this year for the dear old gentleman, and so this is a must-win game to stay on course…just STOP IT. First of all, EVERYONE wants to win real bad in the NFL. Second, Jerry Jones appears to be in good shape, and will probably be around for at least 20 years. The idea that the Cowboys are going to have extra incentive to win due to the sentimental attachment to their owner is enough to make Swagger, Jr. choke on his dog biscuits.

This matchup does not favor the Cowboys, however. They are short on defenders to stop the run. I don’t see why the Browns cannot run up the middle all day long until the Cowboys send nine players into the box, at which time Baker Mayfield will start to look like Roger Staubach. This will be the best offensive showing of the season.

On the other hand, Dak Prescott is so good that you actually have to lasso him , take him down and tie him up to prevent him from throwing the football. The Cowboys will not be able to protect him, but he is still going to be able to complete pases on the run. Look for a 300 yard passing day. The patched-together offensive line only produces average results for a star back like Ezekiel Elliott.

Browns fans should never be overconfident, and this Browns team is not that good yet. But the Cowboys just do not match up well. They are a team that cannot defend against the run and the Browns have the biggest, baddest offensive line in the NFL. They can tote the rock 40 times a game if they want. That is exactly what they should do. Chubb and Hunt may accound for over 300 yards from scrimmage.

The Cowboys are bringing a terrific gunslinger to the shootout. Very impressive. But the Browns are bringing M1 tanks.
