Three predictions for Baker Mayfield when Cleveland Browns play the Steelers
The Cleveland Browns travel to Pittsburgh to take on their hated division rivals in the Steelers on Sunday afternoon. Everyone in America remembers what happened when these two teams met for the first time last season, as Myles Garrett ripped off the helmet of Steelers quarterback Mason Rudolph and hit him over the head with it. That resulted in an indefinite suspension for Garrett, who ended up missing the remainder of the Browns season.
Cleveland would like to move on and completely forget about that incident and are focused on defeating the Steelers to move to 5-1 on the season. What happened in the past is in the past, and the Browns are proving that, as the Cleveland team of old appears to be no more and a new, winning culture appears to be on the way in.
Leading the charge on offense is the franchise quarterback, Baker Mayfield. While he hasn’t had a signature “wow!” moment this season, he has calmly led the offense to four consecutive wins, a feat that would have been gladly accepted by Browns fans at the beginning of the season.
While the offense relies heavily on the running game and a strong, dominant offensive line, Baker Mayfield has still kept his offseason promise to not be so brash and outspoken in the media, keep the attention off himself and more on the team, and help lead the team to victories.
Sunday’s game against the hated division rival Steelers could be Mayfield’s first breakout game of the season, however, as he and the whole team will have to pull out every stop to beat the Steelers in what will likely be a very close, contested ballgame. Here are three predictions for Baker Mayfield and how he will fare against a tough Pittsburgh Steelers defense.
