Dud: Andrew Sendejo, S

Another week of a Browns game, and yet another week of Andrew Sendejo showing up as a dud performer. It’s getting to be a “bless his heart” situation, as no one questions his effort, but the outcome is never as planned.

Multiple times he missed wide-open tackles, a few that would have been in the backfield. Additionally, he continues to get picked on in coverage, but…he didn’t get beat deep for the first game all season. While fans can count that as a small win, it is just sad that the Browns are decimated by injuries enough that he continues to see the field.

For weeks fans questions why Sheldrick Redwine or Ronnie Harrison weren’t taking him off the field, and now injuries to Joseph and Harrison have left the team with no choice but to play Sendejo. It’s hard to tell if either will be back for next week’s game vs. the Bengals, but it would be a great sight to not see Sendejo in the lineup at safety.

I hate to beat a dead horse week in and week out, but his performance has just been unacceptable. Defensive coordinator Joe Woods has a big week ahead of himself as the team has to rebound and get a win in Cincinnati.
