1. DT Dalvin Tomlinson

Not only do the Browns lack depth along their defensive front four, but they also lack a true plug in the middle of their defense. The Giants have one in Dalvin Tomlinson that they may be willing to part with for the right price. What is that price? Given he is in the last year of his deal, the Browns may be able to get him for the price of a fourth rounder.

He is only 26 years old, and has played at an extremely high level for the Giants throughout his young career already. If the Browns are able to land Tomlinson, then Berry should start working his magic immediately to attempt to lock him down long-term, especially considering the future of the unit.

Sheldon Richardson has an out in his contract after this season, and given his age, this new Browns’ front office may not be willing to pay him the $13 million he is due in 2021. Outside of Richardson, Larry Ogunjobi is also playing out the last year of his contract, and given his up and down play to start the 2020 season, there may be some hesitancy to offer him a new contract after the year.

This leaves third round rookie Jordan Elliott and 2020 free agent addition Andrew Billings (who opted out) as the only two real pieces in the room beyond this season. Tomlinson would give the Browns a massive boost inside, and could be a mainstay along the interior of their defense for years to come.
