Stud: Kareem Hunt, Running Back

When you look at Kareem Hunt’s stat line you wonder how he is the number one stud from this week’s game. But keep in mind, while Mayfield was struggling at the beginning of the game, Hunt made a couple of hard-nosed runs to help keep the Browns not fall behind multiple scores.

Hunt finished the game with 18 carries for 76 yards and 3 catches for 26 yards and a touchdown, but he had a few runs that looked like they should get 4 yards that turned into 12. Not only that, Hunt is fantastic in pass protection and did a great job when the Bengals did dial up the heat a few times.

Mayfield may have had the best stat line, but if you dig into the film Hunt was unbelievable. It’s tough to say if he is fully healthy yet, but it does appear he is getting closer and closer to 100 percent. Not many teams can lose an all-pro talent like Nick Chubb and not have too many worries because they have a guy like Hunt to step up and carry the team.

Hunt did have one drop early in the game that likely would have gone for big yards, but other than that he played a near-perfect game. While the Raiders are nowhere near the team like the Steelers/Ravens, next Sunday will be a tremendous test to see if the Browns can get to 6-2 before the bye. Remember…Chubb should be back after the bye.

Why is Mayfield better without OBJ?. dark. Next

Chubb and Hunt could be the best running back duo in the league as the season winds down and the Browns are chasing a playoff spot.
