MichaelGallup. . . WR. WR. player. 123. Dallas Cowboys

With the Dallas Cowboys season already being over, it’s time for them to look to the future. That means shedding any bad contracts they can, as well as trading away some young talent that can get them draft capital to help build for the future. Michael Gallup fits the latter description perfectly, and is someone the Cleveland Browns should call about acquiring immediately.

With receivers Rashard Higgins and Donovan Peoples-Jones stepping up in the absence of Odell Beckham Jr., it may be easy to say the Browns don’t need to make any additions to their wide receiver corp. While these guys have stepped up to fill the void left by OBJ, a player like Michael Gallup doesn’t become available every day.

Gallup has the ability to blow by defenders, as well as outleap them to make the catch, something that the Browns could use on the outside as they try to evaluate the future of quarterback Baker Mayfield. If the Cowboys truly do begin a fire sale of their assets in hopes to build for the future and avoid another disastrous season like 2020, Michael Gallup will be one of the main players they hear offers for. Let’s all hope that the Browns offer is the best of that bunch.

Denver Broncos. S. player. . S. 45. . JustinSimmons

Another hole in the Cleveland Browns defense is safety. When the Browns lost rookie Grant Delpit to injury and were forced to play Andrew Sendejo because of a myriad of injuries, many thought that the veteran would be a decent replacement. He’s been one of the bigger disappointments this season, however, and is exactly why the Browns should look to improve on the back end of their secondary prior to the November 3rd trade deadline.

Denver Broncos safety Justin Simmons is likely one of the best safeties available, and although he is playing on the franchise tag this season, is worth the price tag. He has been a consistent contributor on the defensive side of the ball for the Broncos and is someone that could sign a long-term contract with his new team after being traded.

Simmons could be a long term answer for the Browns at the safety position, and one to be paired up with their current veterans and young recent draft picks at the safety position. Simmons seems like the kind of player that Browns fans would love to have on their team and to root for, and he could go from a team that seems stuck in neutral to a team that is moving in the right direction under head coach Kevin Stefanski.

JarradDavis. 50. LB. Detroit Lions. LB. player. .

Jarrad Davis appears to be a man on the outside looking in for the Detroit Lions. After having his fifth-year option declined by the team, he has seen his snap counts decrease on a seemingly weekly basis, being replaced by veteran Reggie Ragland, who signed with the Lions this past offseason.

With Davis needing a new home, and the Cleveland Browns being thin at the linebacker position, it may make sense to make a trade for the former first-round pick. With no linebackers making a huge impact in 2020 for the Cleveland Browns, and that being a position that they likely won’t target only in the 2021 NFL Draft, it could make sense to trade for a player currently in the league and attempt to negotiate a contract extension.
