3. Landry finally scores a TD

While the Houston Texans have been bad at run defense, their pass defense hasn’t been a whole lot better. They’re 10th worst in the NFL with 257.4 yards per game surrendered, which actually puts them slightly ahead of Cleveland — Joe Woods’ defense is giving up 264.6 yards per game.

Having said that, Cleveland fans know that their secondary has been terrible at stopping the pass, so seeing how close the Texans are to them statistically should be encouraging since it means Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland offense will have holes to work with.

The first prediction included the Browns returning to the ground game with Nick Chubb hopefully back on the field, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be some big passing lanes to expose. In fact, the dominance of the ground game will only help open things up when head coach Kevin Stefanski decides to dial up some play-action passing.

In this prediction, Cleveland sets their wideouts up repeatedly with some play-action as well as the bootleg roll-outs that Mayfield has had success on. They’ll use these plays for some chunk-yardage but also when looking to score. With that being said, this prediction is that Mayfield will find Jarvis Landry in the end zone for his first touchdown of the season.
