4. Consistency

What makes a team successful in the NFL? Having an identity. Although fans don’t love it at times, there is no doubt the Browns have found their identity. That identity is a team that wants to run the football and throw it off play-action when needed. Stefanski wants to keep the ball in his hands as long as possible and limit possessions for the opposing team.

That strategy can be stressful for fans, as the Browns have become a team that struggles to win games when they fall behind early. The trust just isn’t quite there yet for Stefanski to allow Baker Mayfield to sling it down the field 40 times per game.

So far through nine games, the Eagles are no closer to finding their identity than they were in week one. Their offense continues to struggle, and their defense just gets tired of being on the field and eventually starts to get tired.

Wentz who was once viewed as a top-five to seven quarterback in the NFL has struggled with accuracy and continues to be under pressure nearly every time he drops back to pass. The toughest part of not having an identity at this point? A team must keep spending time each week on new strategies. That makes it tougher to get into a groove and find any momentum during a season.

With back to back weeks of poor weather, there is no reason to expect sunshine and dryness this upcoming week either. A consistent run game will be crucial in wearing down the Eagles defense and coming away with a victory.
