2. Browns wideouts vs. a suspect secondary

There was once a time the Jaguars boasted one of the best, if not the absolute best, secondaries in the NFL. They used a premium draft pick on Jalen Ramsey and also gave A.J. Bouye a massive contract. And it worked as they rode the strength of their defense to an AFC Title Game berth in 2017.

Since then, they’ve had to cut salary and that included traded away Ramsey when he was due a new contract. Now, they don’t really have any household names in the secondary and with C.J. Henderson and D.J. Hayden on IR, this unit isn’t really a threat at all.

Of course, the same could be said about the Browns wide receivers. With Odell Beckham, Jr. out with a torn ACL the passing game has been less than impressive. Players such as Rashard Higgins, KhaDarel Hodge, and Donovan Peoples-Jones have all had their moments but none of them have been very consistent.

There’s also Jarvis Landry, who has been the top receiver for the past couple of seasons in Cleveland. He also has been up and down as he was recovering from offseason hip surgery and has since suffered a rib injury that’s slowed him down. Against this secondary, a vintage Juice game would be a welcome sight, and it would help lead the Browns to a much-needed win.
