2. Baker Mayfield vs. Tennessee Secondary

Baker Mayfield has made leaps and bounds in his passing game this season. Some may argue that it is because the Kevin Stefanski offense makes life easy for Mayfield, but either way, he is on track to have the most successful season of his young career.

The biggest aspect of Mayfield’s game that has seen improvement is his ball security. The once interception-happy Baker Mayfield has not thrown an interception in over a month. He has not needed to throw the ball much as the Baltimore Ravens are the only team to attempt fewer passes than the Browns so far this season, but it is evident Mayfield has taken strides in protecting the football.

Tennessee’s defense, however, is great at creating turnovers. They are second in the NFL in turnover differential, and the majority of their takeaways come from interceptions. The Titans secondary acquired Desmond King II from the Chargers in a midseason trade which only bolstered their stout secondary.

Mayfield knows all too well about Tennessee’s ball-hawking secondary. In the season opener last season, Mayfield threw three interceptions as the Titans torched the Browns 43-13. If Mayfield has a similar game to last year’s performance there is no way that the Browns can win, but if Baker can continue on his path of protecting the ball the Browns can fly home from Tennessee with a victory.
