Cleveland Browns: Baker Mayfield’s career stats against the Ravens
By Mitch Zoloty
Completion Percentage
"Week 4, 2019: 20/30, 66.67% completion percentage Week 16, 2019: 20/33, 60.61% Week 5, 2018: 25/43, 58.14% Week 17, 2018: 23/42, 54.76% Week 1, 2020: 21/39, 53.85% Total: 109/187, 58.29%"
If the Cleveland Browns are going to have a shot to beat this Baltimore Ravens team, then Baker is going to have to get more accurate with the football when facing them. Only completing 58.29 percent of his passes is not going to consistently cut it against any team, let alone one of the caliber of the Ravens.
The Baltimore Ravens have one of the best secondaries in the NFL if not the best, so this is going to be a huge test for Baker. His last performance against the Ravens was the worst he has had in this regard, and the Browns got destroyed in a 38-6 blowout.
While the Ravens may be deflated due to their struggling season and their COVID issues, I can guarantee they have this game circled on their calendars. These defensive backs and the Browns wide receivers have a history of talking smack to each other, so they are going to come in hungry and ready to compete. If Baker can consistently hit his passes and have a completion percentage around 62 percent, which is around his average on the season, then Baker should be in good shape. If it dips below this line, the Browns could be in line for another loss.
