EDGE. Pittsburgh. 5.168. 866. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. PatrickJones II. player

This mock is crazy already, so we might as well lean into it all the way. Patrick Jones is a player that makes a ton of sense for the Browns in the first round given his size (6-5, 260 pounds), athletic profile, and production over the past two seasons. In this scenario, Cleveland would have Garrett and Vernon starting with Ossai and Jones as backups. Those two rookies would be a really good starting duo. As backups? That’s the definition of an embarrassment of riches.

Pick Analysis. S. player. 53. Scouting Report. Middle Tennessee. ReedBlankenship. 6.203

A disappointing 2020 will affect Reed Blankenship’s stock, but he was great in 2019, picking off four passes, returning one for a touchdown, and breaking up seven others. Grant Delpit, if he is able to come back at near-100 percent from his Achilles injury, should be a terrific safety. Depth at the position is lacking at the moment, and Blankenship could help with that, in addition to providing assistance on special teams.

D'eriqKing. 7.251. 834. Scouting Report. Miami. Pick Analysis. ???. player

D’Eriq King is a pretty darn good passer. The problem is he’s 5-11 and 200 pounds and doesn’t have a great arm. You never want to force a position change onto a player, but given King’s elite athletic ability, it could be the best thing for his NFL future. He’d give the Browns another big-play weapon along with Toney who Stefanski could do a lot of different things with. No one is Lamar Jackson, but as far as pure running ability, King isn’t too far behind. You won’t find a more talented prospect in the seventh round.

Next. Cleveland Browns: Despite loss, Baker Mayfield proved himself. dark

The Browns have to get another WR and basically an entirely new defense, but they’re still 9-4 and have proven they can hang with pretty much anyone. Get Baker Mayfield some semblance of a defense, a task which this mock accomplishes, and the Browns go from legitimate wild card team to AFC elite.
