2. Donovan Peoples-Jones, Wide-Receiver

Michigan fans get sick every week watching their disappointing five-star recruit accomplish in the NFL what he was never able to do in college. Make big catches and be a team player blocking in the run game. Donovan Peoples-Jones was given an opportunity with the injuries to Odell Beckham Junior and KhaDarel Hodge and boy has he capitalized.

Peoples-Jones came into the league known for drops, so far that hasn’t been an issue at all. Additionally, his speed has been just enough to stretch the field for big plays when the Browns need it most. In the last two weeks, Peoples-Jones has racked up 166 receiving yards and a touchdown as the third wide receiver.

The Giants defense can be stingy, so look for quarterback Baker Mayfield to distribute the ball to multiple targets and keep the defense guessing. One thing the offense has been doing of late is spreading the wealth, and while the Browns are still a run-first offense, Kevin Stefanski is starting to let Mayfield rip the ball more and more.

Being the third receiver, Peoples-Jones must make the most of his targets, but he will be a crucial part of the game plan on Sunday Night. Let’s hope that Mayfield can hit him for at least one deep shot to keep this offense rolling as it did vs. the Ravens on Monday night.
