1. Xavien Howard, Cornerback

When the Cleveland Browns drafted Greedy Williams in 2019, it seemed as though they had just built a dominant secondary. Williams was joining Denzel Ward, the No. 4 overall pick the season prior, who had just made the Pro Bowl as a rookie.

Unfortunately, we still never really got to see the two blossom together. Williams spent much of his rookie season trying to catch up following an early injury and then in training camp this season, he was lost due to a shoulder injury and has yet to make his debut.

At this point, it seems hard to believe Williams can be counted on. In two seasons, he has battled a couple of injuries and has played in just 12 games. For that reason, the Browns could go after someone in a trade and Xavien Howard could become a target.

Howard is part of a great group of corners as he and Byron Jones are the starters for the Miami Dolphins. They’re also both paid very well and that could be why Miami might be willing to make a deal for Howard.

There were rumors ahead of the season and while the Dolphins refuted them, they did draft Noah Igbinoghene in the first round this season. Should they consider him ready for a starting role, they might want to add a draft pick and free up some space to make more moves on offense.

It would be costly, but Ward and Howard as the starting corners is enough to get anyone in Cleveland excited.
