Cleveland Browns land shutdown corner in 2021 NFL mock draft at Week 17

Another versatile defensive back, Kary Vincent Jr. was a key piece of LSU’s championship run in 2019. He needs to be calculated in when he chooses to be aggressive, as he is prone to giving up some big plays and being called for penalties, but that aggressive nature also leads to some opportunities to make plays on the ball. His elite speed also helps him to make up for some mistakes. He can play safety or in the slot, and could be brought along slowly as a special teamer at first.
Camryn Bynum originally opted out of the 2020 season, but returned to play in Week 11. He has some injury concerns but was a very good player in college. He’s primarily an off-man and zone corner given his limited athleticism, but there’s no arguing with his production. Opposing teams learned early in his freshman year not to test him too often. Bynum has the potential to be another versatile toy in Joe Woods’ chest.
David Njoku has played well this season when he’s actually be given the chance, but that hasn’t been all too often. It wouldn’t be a surprise for him to request a trade again this offseason, and even if that doesn’t happen, he’ll almost certainly walk after 2021.
It’s a good idea to find a replacement who can create separation with athleticism and route running, and even though Braden Galloway doesn’t have great production, he does both of those things well. He’s also a willing blocker and has a good frame at 6-4 250 pounds. There won’t be many players available in the seventh round with as much talent as Galloway.
With this class to bolster the defense and a healthy offense, the Browns could make some serious noise in 2021, and expectations would be sky-high.
