Stephen Carlson, TE

An undrafted free agent in 2019, Stephen Carlson ended up making the Browns roster and played a bit his rookie year. After seeing his role shrink on offense in 2020, he has still been efficient and a solid asset for the Cleveland Browns. While his role on offense has shrunk, his role on special teams has greatly increased in 2020.

Kevin Stefanski and the coaching staff clearly like Carlson enough to keep him around all season, so I expect to see him make the roster in 2021 and will probably get an extension, especially with Njoku likely out of the picture after 2021.

Elijah Lee, LB

Elijah Lee has been with the Browns for only a few weeks now, and hasn’t played many snaps for them. He could potentially be a player who enters training camp in 2021 and competes for a backup role. Besides one starting season for the 49ers, he doesn’t have much experience playing in the NFL. Still, that should be enough to give him another shot to get on the field for the Browns more often in 2021.
