Karl Joseph, S

As the self-proclaimed leader of the Karl Joseph hive in Cleveland, I am demanding they re-sign him and bring him back in 2021. In all seriousness, he has played well as a depth piece and should find his long term home in Cleveland.

Currently playing on a one-year, $2.5 million dollar, the Browns should look to see if they can pay him the same amount for another season or two. Having him be Ronnie Harrison’s backup for 2021 and hopefully beyond would be a good move, as Joseph is a quality safety. The Browns secondary has been full of injuries and miscommunication this season, and surprisingly Joseph has stayed healthy and solid through it all.

While he isn’t perfect and has had a few bad plays during his time in Cleveland, overall he has been a positive for the franchise. Joseph is a good tackler and knows how to hit, and can really set the tone for the defense moving forward.

Joseph will be turning 28 next season, so this season and his next two should really be the prime of his career. The Browns would be wise to bring him back for around the same price if they can and take advantage of having him on their roster.
