4. Landry rises to the occasion

For the first time in his career, Jarvis Landry finished with fewer than 80 receptions but he still proved to be a major weapon for the Browns. In his third season in Cleveland, he had 72 receptions for 840 yards and three touchdowns. While all those were career-lows in the orange and brown, he was still the top pass-catcher for the team once again.

What was even more impressive was the way he fought through the issues he had with his health. Landry had hip surgery in the offseason which slowed him down early in the year. Then when he did start to look like himself with a four reception, 88-yard performance against Indianapolis in Week 5, he suffered a rib injury that slowed him down again.

As if that wasn’t enough, Landry then missed Week 16 since he was in close contact with a member of the staff who had come down with COVID-19. That forced him to sit at home watching as his team lost to the Jets, making Sunday the do-or-die game that it was.

Now with a 51-yard performance under his belt in Week 17, Landry is ready for his second career playoff game. His first came with the Miami Dolphins in 2016 and Landry went off in that one for 102 yards on 11 receptions. He’s been vital to this team’s turnaround and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him once again catch double-digit passes as the Browns will lean heavily on their most experienced wideout.
